Can I view my children’s medical information?

Yes, parents or guardians of children until the age of 13, can access their children’s medical information on the RWJBarnabas Health MyChart. The parent will need to have an active MyChart account to be able to view the child’s information as the proxy. Parental access is changed just before the child’s 13th birthday. When a child turns 13, they are offered their own MyChart and the parent will revert to admin only access automatically. The teen can sign a consent to allow the parent to continue to see full clinical access in special circumstances. The teen can also revoke that access at any time. This is to ensure the privacy of the teen in following the laws of the state.
